Who we are
We are a large community college situated in the south west of Glasgow. Our Mosspark Drive campus was opened in 1972 and each year is home to over 2,000 full-time students and 10,000 part-time students. As a community college, we serve the surrounding local areas, but students come from all over the world to study with us.
We have recently completed the second phase of our estates project at our Mosspark Drive campus. The project includes the £8 million Skills Centre; a Children's Centre; a Hairdressing, Beauty and Holistic Therapy salon; and fully refurbished classrooms.
Our mission
Cardonald College Glasgow is a sector leading college, providing excellent learning experiences, underpinned by strong leadership, innovative staff and high quality resources.
Our strengths
The learning experience at Cardonald was recently commended by Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Education (HMIE), who praised the learner progress, teaching, leadership and high standard of guidance and support.
The College is accredited by many awarding bodies such as the Scottish
Qualifications Authority (SQA), VTCT, City & Guilds, CISCO and Microsoft.
We have excellent links with universities and art schools and successful students can advance to 2nd, 3rd or even 4th year of a degree programme.
Experienced, well qualified, enthusiastic lecturers offer a high standard of teaching.
97% of students say they have had a positive experience at Cardonald.
For most of our courses, assessments are ongoing throughout the session, rather than one exam at the end of the year.
