Please check your junk mail folder as well your inbox for this, if you find email that has been incorrectly treated you can mark the sender as 'safe' so future emails from that sender will arrive in your inbox. For certain courses you may be required to bring a portfolio of work, or complete a task at your interview.
Guidance for applicants
When filling out our online application form, which is found at the top of each individual course entry page, you will be given the opportunity to apply for one full-time or part-time course at Cardonald College Glasgow. Should you wish to apply for another course, we would ask you to repeat this process and submit one new application form.
We understand that choosing the right course of study can be a difficult challenge and if you are in any doubts about whether, or not, a particular course is the right one for you, please contact our Information & Advice Centre where our staff would be happy to discuss your options with you.
If you are not sure what level of qualification is right for you within a subject area (e.g Whether you should apply for NQ Social Sciences or HNC Social Sciences) don't worry, because the member of staff interviewing you will be able to discuss what level of course is more suitable for you and offer you a place on the most appropriate level. In this situation, there is no need to make two separate applications - one interview will suffice.
Also bear in mind that if you are interested applying for 2 subjects that are very closely related, (e.g HND Fitness, Health & Exercise and HND Sports with Development of Sport), again you may be interviewed by a member of staff who can offer you a place on either course, so there would be no need to create 2 applications as the right level for you will be discussed at interview. Please use the email address on pages related to the courses you are interested in, if you are in any doubt about this.
If you are successful you will be made a formal offer of a place.
- An unconditional offer means that you fulfil all course entry requirements and are guaranteed a place.
- A conditional offer means that you must obtain certain qualifications, examination grades, or satisfactory references are required before you are accepted.
Once you receive your offer you should apply for an EMA/Bursary or student loan/award as soon as possible.
Applicants who are unsuccessful may wish to seek advice from Student Advisers in the Information & Advice Centre.
