Course Description

This highly successful course meets the requirements of the design profession, providing both the creative design and technological skills required for employment in graphic design, whether for web or print. See examples of student work on http://hndgraphics.com

Progression from HNC to HND is not guaranteed and is dependent on suitable progression through course work as well as satisfactory attendance, timekeeping and commitment.

Subjects Include

Web design, art & design project, typography, digital imaging, visual communications, graphic design, graded unit and a choice between illustration and computer animation.

Entry Requirements

  • NQ Art and Design (or equivalent).
  • 2 Highers including Art and Design C or above.
  • English at minimum Intermediate 2: C or above. 
  • Portfolio of art and design work. Conditional acceptances may be offered to applicants awaiting Higher results on the basis of their portfolio.
  • Successful applicants will participate in our intensive 10 day Fast Track to HND Visual Communication Graphic Design for Print & New Media before commencing HND study.
  • An interview is part of the selection process.
