Course Description
This course covers all aspects of fashion with emphasis on a creative approach. Integrated projects develop our students design, pattern drafting and manufacturing skills. Students have the opportunity to show final year garment collections at the end of year catwalk show. Additional subjects studied include fashion illustration, buyer behaviour, life drawing, CAD design and management theories.

This course is provided in SQA units. Each of these carries a value in 'credits'. The units are internally assessed on an on-going basis, within a timetabled structure. Assessments are subject to external verification by SQA. The course consists of both core units and optional units.

Entry Requirements
NQ Fashion Design OR equivalent foundation course, suitable art portfolio, industrial experience OR three Highers (including Art and English). Interview to determine academic and/or industrial experience.

2nd/3rd year BA Fashion Design with Technology - Manchester Metropolitan University; 2nd/3rd year BA Fashion Business - Caledonian University;
2nd year - BA Fashion - London College of Fashion; 2nd year - BA Fashion Design - Edinburgh College of Art; 2nd year - BA Performance Costume - Edinburgh College of Art.
Students may also articulate to a number of other Fashion/Design courses throughout UK, subject to progression and reference.
