Course Description
This course covers all aspects of fashion with emphasis on a creative approach. Integrated projects develop our students design, pattern drafting and manufacturing skills. Students have the opportunity to exhibit their work at the annual college fashion show and participate in the Trade House of Glasgow Craftex awards and exhibition. Students have progressed to university and design/manufacturing employment in the fashion industry.

Fashion Illustration, Couture Techniques, Fashion Forecasting, CAD Pattern Cutting and Marketing.

Entry Requirements
- NQ Fashion Design or equivalent foundation course.
- 3 Highers at C or above including Art and Design.
- Successful applicants will participate in our 10 day Fast Track Fashion & Design Manufacture course.
- Relevant industrial experience.
- Candidates will be expected to present a folio of artwork at an interview.

Progression Routes
Subject to satisfactory progress, portfolio and reference to the following courses:
- 2nd/3rd year entry to BSc Textiles and Fashion Design Management at Heriot-Watt University.
- 2nd/3rd year entry to BA Fashion Design for Industry at Heriot-Watt University.
- 2nd/3rd year entry to BA Fashion Business at Glasgow Caledonian University.
- 2nd/3rd year entry to BA Fashion Design with Technology at Manchester Metropolitan University.
- 2nd year entry to BA Fashion Design at Edinburgh College of Art.
- 2nd year entry to BA Performance Costume at Edinburgh College of Art.
- 2nd year entry to BA Fashion at London College of Fashion.
Students may also articulate to a number of other Fashion/Design courses throughout UK, subject to progression and reference.
Self-employment or employment in the fashion industry.
