Course Description
SVQs are work-based qualifications, which set the level of competence required by Health and Social Care workers. Assessment of competence in practice will be assessed in the workplace and twelve single Induction classes in College.
This Award is acceptable for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council. The Award consists of eight Units, four Mandatory Units and four Optional Units.

Entry Requirements
Candidates must be working in a care setting and should be involved in a broad range of complex, technical or professional work activities. You should be involved in the supervision or management of staff and the allocation of resources.
