Course Description
Due to the high volume of applications, this course is currently closed to online applications. Please check back after the SQA exam results on Thursday 5th August when places may become available.
This course is designed to give the skills and experience required to pursue a career in social care. The course covers the many aspects of the caring role with a range of service users.
Students cover a range of NQ care units at higher level as well as a placement in a care setting.

Fees & Funding
There are no course fees for full-time UK/EU students. All full-time students are invited to apply for means tested bursary funding to cover living, travel and course expenses. Entry Requirements
Three standard grades at credit level (including English or communications or equivalent) plus interview and two references. Internal candidates must have a reference from their guidance tutor.
Progression Routes
Successful completion of this course can give students a place on our HNC in Social Care. Employment can be found in basic grade posts in social care, eg support worker, home care worker or care assistant.
