Course Description
This course is designed for people who wish to study a range of social science subjects up to and including the equivalent of 1st year university level, but in an alternative higher education setting.
The main subjects studied in first year are Sociology, Psychology and History. The course also includes Research Methods and a final Graded Unit: Exam. The course provides a good grounding in the main Social Science disciplines and is an excellent preparation for progression to a Higher National Diploma or university.

Entry Requirements
Two relevant Highers are required; one of which should be English.
If English is not your first language, you must be able to demonstrate English language skills equivalent to IELTS 5, or have two ESOL Units at Intermediate 2 level.
Progression Routes
Social Sciences and Arts degrees at University of Glasgow, University of Strathclyde, University of the West of Scotland and Glasgow Caledonian University, with possible 2nd year entry depending on graded unit.
