Course Description
The Diploma in Reflexology teaches therapist the techniques required to perform reflexology.
Subjects Include
Anatomy and Physiology: cell metabolism, skeletal, muscular, vascular, lymphatic, endocrine, digestive, respiratory, reproductive and renal systems, breast, skin and hair.
Supporting Employment Standards: clinical environment - simulated in class; health and safety/security in the workplace; professionalism and operation procedures.
Preparing Clients: self presentation; client communication skills; treatment objectives; developing case studies and contra-indications.
Treatments: zone therapy; foot massage; Reflexology techniques; evaluation of treatment and client aftercare.
Requires additional class in Anatomy and Physiology (4.30pm - 6.30pm).
Cost
For fee paying students, £480 per person. This course may be eligible for an Individual Learning Account (ILA). You must have your ILA before enrolling on the course

Entry Requirements
You must be in possession of a qualifiation in body massage. Please note, proof of all qualifications (i.e. certificates), must be supplied to the College.
Good communication and literacy skills and a genuine interest in holistic therapies are essential. Computer literacy is an advantage.

Progression Routes
Contributes to Diploma in Holistic Therapies.
Therapists can work in a variety of settings including private practice, health clubs, hospitals, hospices, health clinics, GP surgeries, mobile therapist and workplaces.
