Course Description
The course includes personal self development for the therapist, the body's energy systems, meridians, principles and practice of shiatsu/acupressure techniques, stretching and releasing techniques, neuromuscular massage and vibration.
It enables the student to offer clients effective treatments for back and neck pain, abdominal problems, headaches and emotional stress. Continuous assessment of portfolio generated evidence. The course is led by the Principal of the Glasgow School of Shiatsu.
The part time day course will run on a Wednesday day and the part time evening course will run on Thursday evenings.
Cost
For fee paying students, £175 per person. This course may be eligible for an Individual Learning Account (ILA). You must have your ILA before enrolling on the course.
This course will run for 18 weeks every Wednesday at 9am - 12:15pm or every Thursday at 6:30 - 9:30pm from September 2012.
Entry Requirements
A postgraduate course for therapists who have completed body massage training and anatomy and physiology.

Progression Routes
Therapists can work in a variety of settings including private practice, health clubs, hospitals, hospices, health clinics, GP surgeries, mobile therapist, workplaces.
