Course Description

The aim of this two year course is to enable students to develop knowledge, skills, attitudes and values for taking responsibility for health. The course runds three days per week over two years.

Subjects Include

The course will be made up of the following:

  • Healthy Choices - understanding health issues and health choices
  • Feeling good - emotional intelligence, emotional and mental health, stress and relaxation, relationships and sexuality, assertiveness and self esteem.
  • Keeping Active - taking part in activities to maintain physical health
  • Eating Well - shopping, cooking and eating for health
  • A Healthy Home - Home care, caring for clothing and creating a healthy living environment.
  • Optional Subjects - an afternoon chosen from a variety of activities
  • Optional social evening activity once a month
