Course Description
This course is designed for people for whom English is not their first language. Our tutors use a variety of interesting teaching methods such as role play, group work and cultural visits, to enable you to improve your understanding of English, and your speaking, reading, writing and listening skills. These skills will increase your confidence in everyday life and will help you communicate in the home, with your family, in social situations, and at work.
Attendance Mode & Cost
Full-time consists of 18 hours per week of tuition and one hour of guidance. For students who are living in the EU, full-time tuition is free.
Part-time consists of 10 hours of classes per week. EU students might need to pay a fee depending on circumstances - £17.50 per week payable in two instalments throughout the year. It may also be eligible for an ILA

Entry Requirements
- No formal entry requirements.
- An interview and written assessment will ensure successful applicants are offered a class at the correct level.
Progression Routes
Students will progress through the ESOL levels up to Intermediate 2.
You can then progress to NC courses at Cardonald in other areas.
