Course Description
An introduction to integrating complementary therapy into the healthcare setting. It is an ideal introduction to the VTCT internationally accredited Diploma in Understanding the Healthcare Environment for Providers of Complementary Therapies (also available at Cardonald College).
Subjects include
- Ways to adapt your practice to your clients specific situation and medical condition
- Safety issue
- Cautions, contra-indications and insurance issues
- Communicating with clients and healthcare professionals
- Issues of consent and confidentiality with clients, carers, health professionals and colleagues
- Records and reports
