Course Description
The Health Care Higher is suitable for both school leaver and for individuals who have either health and social care experience. The coursework is a mix of theoritical and practical assessment and will incorporate a placement from October to June.

Practical Skills for Carers; Sociology in Care, Psychology in Care, Values and Principles in care, First Aid, Numeracy and IT.
Fees and Funding
There are no course fees for full-time UK/EU students. All full-time students are invited to apply for means tested bursary funding to cover living, travel and course expenses. Entry Requirements
- 3 Credit level Standard Grades including English.
- Applications are welcome from those without formal qualifications, but with relevant life/work experience. Admittance will be subject to the entrance exam result.
- Suitable references required.
- An interview is part of the selection process.
