Course Description

This Access to Primary Teaching - Mathematics course has been divided into 3 units, each assessed upon completion. If they are not achieved first time there will be an opportunity to re-sit during the year.

The final exam on 21 May covers all three units. Paper One is non-calculator and Paper Two allows the use of a calculator.

There will be a prelim in March, date to be confirmed.

Cost

For fee paying students, £210 for the day class and £130 for the evening class. This course is eligible for an Individual Learning Account (ILA). You must have your ILA before enrolling on the course.

Entry Requirements

Standard Grade Mathematics, general pass or Core 2 Mathematics or equivalent.

Progression Routes

May assist in meeting entry requirements for Degree in Primary Education; Degree in Social Work; Higher National courses in Further Education; Higher Mathematics.
