Course Description

This course is designed for those who are new to office administration and IT. It is also appropriate for those who would like to improve their basic skills. Students gain the up-to-date skills needed to work in an office environment. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access) will be used to word process, create spreadsheets, presentations and databases. Students will also send emails and use the Internet, file, photocopy, work with mail and use the telephone.

Subjects Include

Keyboarding and speed typing, word processing, administrative services 1, audio typewriting, communications, numeracy, telephone skills, book-keeping and desktop publishing.
