Course Description

This course will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to work in a junior position in a wide range of travel and tourism oriented businesses.

You will develop your selling and communication skills and learn about tourist information services, worldwide travel destinations and the structure of the travel industry. The course gives you a good insight into the travel and tourism industry and offers you a good opportunity to progress further either within education on completion of the course or enhances job prospects within the industry.

Subjects Include

Worldwide geography, retail travel, travel insurance, selling skills, resort representatives, tour operations, workplace communications, air travel and a study visit.

Entry Requirements

Four Standard Grades at Level 3 or above.

  • Relevant life/work experience.
  • An interview is part of the selection process.

Progression Routes

  • HND Travel with Tourism.
  • Employment in airport ground handling, cabin crew, retail travel and tour operations.
