Course Description
A design led program aimed at progression to HND Fashion Design and Manufacture.
This creative foundation course covers a wide range of fashion-related subjects: drawing, fashion design, fashion illustration, state-of-the-art computer-aided design, pattern cutting, and garment production, including skirt, trousers and bodices. Design and make projects enable students to develop initial garment designs through to finished products.

Subjects Include
Fashion design, design development, drawing, light clothing, pattern making and production skills, communications and CAD design, culminating in designing and making a finished garment to a specified design brief.

Entry Requirements
- 4 Standard Grades at credit level including Art & Design and English or equivalent.
- Portfolio of art and design work including evidence of observational drawing and a keen interest in fashion.
Progression Routes
Progression from NQ to HNC/D is not guaranteed and is dependent on suitable progression through course work as well as satisfactory attendance, timekeeping and commitment.
