Award-winning creative talent

June 2012 has been a lucky month for students and former students of Cardonald College Glasgow's creative industries department. On Friday 8 June, nine Cardonald students were named best in category at the Trades House Craftex Awards.
The winners included HND Graphic Design student Craig Black, who took the top spot in the advanced Graphic Design category. Both the non-advanced and advanced Photography categories were won by Cardonald students Furmaan Ahmen and Jamie Wright respectively.
Eight former Cardonald fashion and textile students were also nominated at the prestigious Scottish Fashion Awards, which took place on Monday 11 June. Former HND Fashion student, Faye McLeod was named Scottish Communicator of Year for her role as Visual Creative Director at Louis Vuitton. Other nominees including designers Rebecca Torres and Louise Gray.
