New College Learning Programme

Cardonald College Glasgow has been awarded funding as part of a new innovative programme managed by Skills Development Scotland (SDS). The ‘New College Learning Programme' commences in September 2012.
Targeting 16 to 24 year olds, the courses offered have a vocational focus that will prepare learners for the workplace. All courses feature work experience placements, and can link directly to further study opportunities at Cardonald College Glasgow.
All courses are full-time and is eligible for bursary or EMA funding.
Applications are now open for the following courses:
- Pre-Apprenticeship Carpentry and Joinery
- Supported Learning Transition Programme
- Pre-employment Transitions
The courses are designed to raise awareness of the skills and working practices within the industry and provide a platform for progression to higher level training, trade apprenticeships or entry to general construction industry occupations.
