Construction Crafts - Intermediate 1

The Course contains practical construction crafts units in seven important construction trades. It is especially suitable for candidates with an aptitude for and an interest in practical crafts work. Candidates will learn a variety of skills in the trades-specific Units. In addition, they will develop skills and attitudes that enhance employability, not just in the construction industry, but in employment generally.

•    DM7C 10     Construction Crafts: Employability Skills

•    DM7G 10     Construction Crafts: Half Brick walling

•    DM7K 10     Construction Crafts: Decorative Painting

•    DM7J 10     Construction Crafts: Site Carpentry and Bench Joinery

•    DM7E 10     Construction Crafts: Plumbing

•    DM7T 10     Construction Crafts: Electrical Installation

•    DM7R 10     Construction Crafts: Plasterwork

•    DM7N 10     Construction Crafts: Roof Tiling

Entry Requirements

It is envisaged that students will be working at Standard Grade or Intermediate 1 level prior to the commencement of the course.

Attendance Pattern

Classes currently run on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon from 1.30pm to 4pm over a two year period or could run two afternoons per week over one year.
