Health Sector - Intermediate 1
Central to the course is developing the employability skills valued by employers in general and necessary for effective work in the health sector. These skills are embedded in the different units providing candidates with the opportunity to practice and develop these skills.
The course will increase your awareness of the health sector and explore its diversity, whilst increasing your understanding of the range and diversity of careers in the health sector. You will develop your communication skills by working in groups and develop your investigative skills by using a variety of research methods. The course will help enhance your presentation and self-evaluation skills.

Entry Requirements
It is envisaged that students will be working at intermediate 1 level prior to the commencement of the course.
Attendance Pattern
The course could be carried out one session (2.5 hours) per week over two years or two sessions (5 hours) per week over one year.
Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon is preferred option, but alternative afternoons may be available if mutually agreeable to school and college.
