Assam Bolbol from Cairo, Egypt is currently studying HND Visual Communication Graphic Design. Assam came to Cardonald to study our six month Access to Design course, which enabled him to progress on to the two year HND in Graphic Design.
"I came to Cardonald to study Access to Design, which allowed me to sample the different design courses on offer at the College. I really enjoyed Graphic Design and decided to progress on to the HND in Visual Communication.
My tutors are approachable and have made learning really enjoyable and fun. My classmates have been really welcoming and I've made lots of friends, but I did find it hard to understand the Scottish accent at first!
During my time at Cardonald, I've been living in student accommodation in Glasgow City Centre, which is great fun. I have my own room but share a kitchen and dining area with my flatmates. They are from all over the world and we regularly go out in Glasgow or travel to other cities together.
I'm glad that I chose to study in Scotland; I really enjoy my course, I've made great friends and I've had the chance to travel across the UK. I would recommend studying abroad to everyone."
