Extended Learning Support
Extended Learning Support is available via the Equality and Inclusion Department. Our aim is to ensure that students who may have extended learning needs are confident about disclosing their support needs and accessing the appropriate support arrangements.

The Equality Act 2010 defines a person with a disability as someone who has “a physical or mental impairment which has a long term and substantial adverse effect on their ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities.”
Specific examples of disabilities that we encounter on a daily basis include:
- Dyslexia
- Specific Learning Difficulties
- Visual Impairments
- Hearing Impairments
- Physical/mobility difficulties
- Mental Health difficulties
- Autistic Spectrum Disorders (including Aspergers’ Syndrome)
- Unseen disabilities such as epilepsy, diabetes or asthma
